Cannabidiol (CBD) is an active ingredient within the cannabis plant. CBD is derived directly from hemp plants and does not have intoxicating effects when ingested. The intention of the regulations is to prohibit cannabinoids that activate the same receptors in the brain as activated by THC."
Taking CBD will not get you high. Cannabidiol does not contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and therefore does not produce the psychoactive effects that are often associated with marijuana.
